Whether you want to emphasise speed, defence, attack, or the use of a particular weapon depends on both your natural playstyle and which boss character you’re currently having trouble with, but rarely has a loadout mattered so much outside of a hardcore role-playing game. You quickly build up a wide variety of different moves and buffs, that at first you’ll just pick and choose largely at random, before subsequent runs reveal how they can all work together to make you considerably more powerful than with a less optimised set-up. ![]()
